    Sarah Bradly-McKay

    Director/Principal Lawyer

    I am a commercial and entertainment lawyer with over 25 years of experience.   During this time, I've worked in a wide variety of legal practice environments in both Australia and New Zealand, developed highly adaptable technical legal skills, and built strong relationships with a range of private clients and internal stakeholders.  

    My previous experience includes:

     

    Previous Experience 

    5 years as Head of Legal at Token Group advising its award winning television production houses, Guesswork Television and Thinkative, and artist management businesses, Token Artists and Creative Representation, both of which represent some of Australia's best known comedians, performers and other creative talent.  During this time, I advised on numerous television productions across all stages of the production process, including: Rosehaven (seasons 4 and 5); Frayed (season 2); Hard Quiz; The ABC Of... ; and Queerstralia (all for the ABC); and Deadloch (season 1) for Amazon Prime, as well as numerous podcast series, and television comedy specials, including Hannah Gadsby's 'Something Special' for Netflix. 

    Two years as in-house counsel at Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ), a television production house producing award winning blue-chip wildlife documentaries and other factual television programs for the global market, including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, CCTV China and PBS.
    Eight years as Managing Solicitor of Anisimoff Legal specialising in advertising and marketing law.
    Two years as General Counsel for a privately owned corporate group with substantial business operations in residential and commercial property development, property management and hospitality and entertainment venues.
    Two years as a Commercial and Property Lawyer in New Zealand.
    Two years at national law firm, Hunt & Hunt Lawyers

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Arts | Monash University
    Admitted to practice: Supreme Court of Victoria | High Court of New Zealand
    Current Victorian Practising Certificate (authorised to engage in legal practice as a principal of a law practice)

    Director, Melbourne International Jazz Festival (Feb. 2019 – current)
